Though I’ve recommended learning a different word-list first (the two- and three-letter J, Q, X, and Z words), most scrabble resources recommend learning the two-letter words next. On the surface, the two-letter words seems to be the worst possible word list to learn. After all, don’t you score your best points on long words? Not necessarily. Effective use of two-letter words can help you score effective parallel plays, play out during an end game, and block opponent plays.
